Hula Lessons
Once danced only by men, hula was the way that stories and traditions were passed from generation to generation. With the arrival of the Western world and the introduction of new concepts, hula became the dance of the islands. Our kumu (teacher) will show you feet and hand movements that, when put together with music, tell a story of this special place.

'Ukulele Lessons
This stringed instrument was introduced to the Hawaiians by the Portuguese. It is now synonymous with Hawaiian music. Learn basic chords and a song that you can share at your next lu'au.

Lei Making Lessons
To give or receive a lei is a special occasion. Lei are used to celebrate all occasions in Hawai'i. Learn to make your own lei to wear yourself or give to a special someone. You gather the flowers on our property and we provide the other materials.

Maui Vacation Activities
For those interested in learning and experiencing authentic Hawaiian culture and history, traditional Hawaiian music can be enjoyed in our Paniolo bar Thursday thru Monday evenings featuring talented local artists, and a special Hawaiian hula and music show is performed every Friday evening at Ka'uiki, our restaurant. Learn the history of Hana at the Hana Cultural Center or enjoy a walking tour of our beautiful gardens to learn about Hawaiian medicinal plants.

At Hamoa Beach, enjoy our Hotel facility and special guest services including umbrellas and beach chairs. Relax in the sun or play in the surf with our complimentary boogie boards and snorkel equipment. Complimentary shuttle service provided.
