Whether you're looking for a rigorous 5 mile hike through the jungle,
or a peaceful drive through the rain forest, our knowledgeable guides
share the culture, history, and elements of Hana's unique environment.
We offer a wide range of tours that will please all our valued guests.
Waimoku Challenge
Hike 2.5 miles through bamboo forests and guava trees up to the
fabulous 400 foot "Waimoku" waterfall. After our hike
down, we'll take a dip in one of the many cascading pools of 'Ohe'o
Gulch, commonly known as the "Seven Sacred Pools." This
5 mile hike goes through rough, muddy terrain. $60.00 an hour, plus
$30.00 National Park entrance fee. Allow for 3-5 hours.
Kipahulu Excursion
Enjoy an informative drive along the legendary Hana Highway
to Palapala Ho'omau church, the final resting place of Charles Lindbergh,
the famous aviator. On our return we may stop and swim if you like.
We can also stop at an isolated fresh, organic, fruit smoothie stand
for some hydration. $60.00 an hour, plus $5.00 per guest fee for
smoothies. Allow for 2-3 hours.
Kaupo, the Edge of the World
Let your guide take you on a drive you'll never forget, through
the rain forest of Kipahulu, along the coast, and into the arid,
desert region of Kaupo. If you like we'll have lunch out at the
old Kaupo Church, while viewing the majestic rim and crest of Haleakala,
one of the largest, dormant volcanoes in the world. $60.00 an hour.
You may want to order a picnic lunch. Allow for 3-5 hours.
Kahanu Gardens
Kahanu Gardens is the home of the magnificent Pi'ilanihale Heiau,
Hawaii's largest archeological wonder, a 16th century place of worship,
and home of the world's largest collection of Breadfruit trees and
Polynesian introduced plants. Your guide will take you on a walking
tour throughout the gardens, along the rural coast, and to the foot
of one of the most mystical places in all of Hawai'i. Approx. 1
mile of easy walking. $60.00 an hour, plus $10.00 entrance fee per
person into Kahanu Gardens. Allow for 2-5 hours.
King's Trail
In days of old, Pi'ilani, a famous Hana King, constructed a number
of walking trails to connect the villages around the island. You'll
head down to Wai'anapanapa state park with your guide, traverse
those ancient steps of the King's trail, visit a black sand beach,
cave pools, and some of the most dramatic black lava coast Hana
has to offer. After a 2 to 3 mile hike over extremely rough terrain,
our next adventure takes us for a refreshing swim in a freshwater
cave pool. $60.00 an hour. Allow for 2-5 hours.
The Organic Tour
Ono Farms and Lau Lima Farm specialize in Organic and Biodynamic
agriculture. These farms focus on tropical fruits and vegetables.
Our tour will start off with a fresh cup of coffee where the beans
are grown not far from where they're brewed. After an exotic fruit
tasting adventure, we'll take a stroll into the fields, where you'll
view papaya, guava, mangoes, coconuts, dragon fruit, passion fruit,
and the list goes on. We'll harvest some fruit, and you'll leave
with a bag of fresh, organic, tropical goodies. Approx. 1 mile of
easy walking. $60.00 an hour, plus $22.00 Ono Farms fee. Allow for
3-4 hours.
Nahiku Jungle Drive
Delving deep into the wettest region of the Hana coast, known as
Nahiku, this driving tour takes us off the beaten path into the
tropical rain forest. We'll stop at local fruit stands and roadside
galleries to take in some local color as well as enjoy some enticing
goodies and local food. $60 an hour, plus your own spending money.
Allow for 2-4 hours.
Custom Tours
Looking for something different, not sure where to go, why not let
one of our guides assist you in finding the perfect fit. From existing
tours to customizing a tour to meet your desires, you can combine
tours or cut them in half. Your guide will consider factors such
as weather, safety, your interest, time frames, and beach and pool
options. We request a 2 hour minimum tour, and a 6 hour maximum.
